How to make a jig to cut balusters

Cut to strips wood 5/8'' in depth, 36'' long, screw them to another board so the baluster fits between them snug, once you find the angle of your stairs clamp your baluster in the jig and cut through the wood jig and baluster at that angle at both ends, then all your balusters will be cut the same lenght.

The advantage of using the baluster connector and cutting the baluster over drilling a hole is that the rain water will not go into the hole.

There are other companies that have stair baluster connector that you do not have to cut your balusters. (The thing that I don't like about their system is that the nylon will show and the sun UVs discolor the connector and will break it down).
